Hi Julia,
Hows the Hair ??? Tell the doctor not to mess with that beautiful hairstyle that you have… I might just have to go up there and smack them around a bit… But on the other hand, just let me know when you need me to come by and fix it up after your surgery…
You do not know this but you are an inspiration to me everyday, and my prayers are with you in this time of healing…
God has never failed when he has made people and I know in my heart that when he made you , he touched you in more ways then we simple folks could ever know. That is why he has made you so special.
I know your parents could never have asked for more of a special child then you, and when you wake up, no matter how tired we all might be, especially your parents, the joy that you bring will continue on for all to see.
So, I pray during this time that in your brief moment of sleep, you sit down, have a cup of drink, speak to the man as he keeps you company on your travel and have sweet dreams, and upon your awakening, your smile will be the thing that keeps us knowing that miralcles happen every day, as I have seen in you…
God be with you, and God Speed to your new you…
With all my love to you,
Nicholas… You personal hairstylist…

Dear Julia,
I want you to know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of my mom, Chris and me. You are a wonderful and very special friend and are very much loved.
UNC Hospitals has always been a very special place for my family. Chris had 4 very difficult surgeries there and my Dad had one surgery there for colon cancer in 1992. All turned out well and were performed by brilliant and very skilled people in a wonderful atmosphere. I know the same good things will happen for you.
I have absolute faith that you will achieve a life changing correction which will benefit you for the rest of your life. We are all very sorry that you have to go through this but please remember in the upcoming days as you go through this that the end result will be a wonderful and positive one. You will constantly be in our thoughts and prayers.
Also, you and I will both make sure that your Dad helps us get tickets for more Carolina basketball games so that we can go together this season. We all had a wonderful time last March.
Take good care. We will be checking on you. Love, Matt

Bessie, Peter & Ana-Maria | November 13, 2007 at 10:06 pm
Dearest Julia,
You do not know me or remember me, but I spent many many nights waiting for your dad and my brother “thio Zack” and your nouno “Thio George” to come home from late late night capers. And don’t think they were angels, because they weren’t. They of course did have angels looking out after them because they somehow seemed to not get in the “worst” trouble and were saved by the clinches of Anna & Vivian(your grandmother)….those were some of the good ol days. (See Angels are always around when needed) I remember your parents at my wedding and I think mom was pregnant with you then, or shortly there after. The Stathopoulos’s and the Demopoulos’s were peas in a pod back in those days. So tonight I write you and tell you what I am sure you already know….and that is that you come from a very special family. One that has been close to ours for many many years. Families are really funny, sometimes we don’t see each other enough, sometimes we live great distances, sometimes we are in the next room. But wherever we are, we seem to come together at a time when needed. Look now, even though I remember when you were born, and I always ask how you and your family are, we have never written or talked to you….look at the number of people and prayers you have brought together. THIS IS YOUR EXTENDED FAMILY…so tomorrow when all will be waiting for you to get through this and recover, we will be one big family, one big prayer, one big hug….So from Toronto Canada, my husband Peter and my daughter Ana-Maria, a big kiss and hug is sent to you and we know that God touch will be with you and you will be touched by his blessings. You are one of the reasons your family is so special. You are one of the reasons that on a night like tonight, we are all going to bed with you in our prayers. God keep you safe. We will be in Charlotte over Christmas – and I want you to meet us all(again….)….Bessie, Peter & Ana-Maria Christophilakis

I look up to the hills,
but where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let you be defeated.
He who guards you never sleeps.
He who guard Israel
never rests or sleeps.
The Lord guards you.
The Lord is the shade that protects you from the sun.
The sun cannot hurt you during the day,
and the moon cannot hurt you at night.
The lord will protect you from all dangers;
he will guard your life.
The Lord will guard you as you come and go,
both now and forever. Psalm 121, 1-8

Good Morning Julia, I have spoken with your Aunt Helen and Julia, and Yiayia Vivian. It was good to get up with them on the phone and hear how things are for you. We are glad to read, see and hear of your improvements this week. You look like another person with your happy expresssons along with Mom, Dad, and siblings. Get a picture with Christina next time you see her, tell her that she takes good pictures, just smile like a Chesire Cat, OK.
I bet the food blew you away since you got on the real stuff.
We had a split up with the family for the first time for the Thanksgiving Holidays. Your Cousin John’s Varsity Football team is is the defending 6AState Chanpionship from last year and have been the ranking number 2 team in the nation. They are in the playoffs each Friday night and tonight is the the 3rd round. They have been practicing each day toward tonight’s game against a south Alabama team. John is ready to get it on with popping the football and hitting the stretch of the field with the team. Since last year we understood this would happen during Turkey Day and a split visit with Aunt Janet’s family. After yesterday’s practice me and John went out to town and ate big time at our local Ryan’s Restaurant. it was good but weird without the rest of he family. I wish we could have come up to God’s Country, UNC, and share some time.
We wish you and the family a great Thanksgiving Holiday weekend as you begin your departure from the hospital.
Take care and with all our love, the Stathopoulos’s in Prattville AL
